You are probably not thinking about spring flowers when our weather is getting cold, dark and rainy. But in California’s Mediterranean climate, this is exactly the time you need to start seeds, put plants in the ground and divide bulbs. Patricia Evans, owner of Natural Landscape Design, is a graduate of the Foothill College Ornamental Horticulture program. Previously, she served on the boards of directors of Gamble Garden and the Association of Professional Landscape Designers. She has also taught “Garden Design for Homeowners” for Palo Alto Adult Education. She specializes in native plants and sustainable landscaping.
