We have been restoring habitat for California native plants at Alum Rock Park since 2011. Project workdays generally take place on the third Saturdays of the month, 9am to noon. New volunteers are always welcome! For more information, please visit https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/alumrockparkvolunteers/info.
We meet at 9 AM at the maintenance building, by the Log Cabin. At the entrance kiosk, identify yourself as a weeding volunteer, and your entrance fee will be waived. Drive up to the farthest parking lot, and park at the first bridge (across from the Log Cabin). Walk across the bridge and past the Log Cabin and meet at the Maintenance Building at 9 am for orientation & training.
