Soap plants open their flowers in the late afternoon and evening. Join us on a search for these lovely blossoms. On this 4.5mile hike, you’ll traverse the Preserve on the Blue Oak, Dick Bishop, and Dusky-footed Woodrat Trails as you look for Soap Plant and other plants in bloom. There will be a stop to enjoy your packed meal and take in the views. If we're lucky, we may spot other creatures of the night as we finish the hike. Reservations are required:

This is a moderate hike of 4.5 miles round trip with a few hundred feet elevation gain.
Additional Information
The preserve does not allow unaccompanied hikers after sunset. You will need to stay with the group until the end of the hike, so please do not sign up if you think you will need to leave early. Additional information about the hike will be provided to attendees before the hike.
