Native Plant ID
(formerly Keying with Natives) is a Chapter group that works together to l
earn plant identification using botanical keys and other resources. Join us
as we look at plant samples collected from local gardens and practice meth
ods of identifying the native plants of our region. Feel free to bring in p
lant samples if you have some from property where you have permission to co
llect or just come and work with the materials provided. We use the current
edition of The Jepson Manual as well as other plant guides, and w
e have copies to share. The Chapter has 10x hand lenses that we can us
e to look at small plant parts or bring your own lens. Also bring any refer
ence books that you like to use.
The group meets at 7:00pm on the fourth Tuesday of ea ch month. Join other native plant enthusiasts in a fun and educational atmosphere, as we hone our skills at plant identification (aka “keying”).

Directions t o the PCC: From Hwy. 101 take the San Antonio Rd. exit and head north. Take the next left onto East Bayshore, which will curve left then right. Take t he next right onto Corporation Way. The entrance to the PCC parking lot is the first driveway on the left. The conference rooms are on the first floor .
