SUMMARY:Calero County Park - Peña and Figueroa Trail Hike (San Jose)
LOCATION:Calero County Park at 3205 McKean Road
DESCRIPTION:<p class="p1">Enjoy the trails and the spectacular views of Calero County&n
 bsp;Park on May 3rd with Tom Lee. We will hike through&nbsp;mixed serpentin
 e terrain and enjoy different plant&nbsp;communities. The trail starts with
  some climbing in&nbsp;grasslands and loops around chaparral before returni
 ng&nbsp;along a creek. This hike will be about 3.6 miles long with&nbsp;an 
 elevation gain of 580 feet.</p><p class="p1">Some flowers seen in past pear
 s during this season include&nbsp;buttercups, lupines, fiddlenecks and iris
 , along with red-winged blackbirds. Please bring sturdy shoes, appropriate&
 nbsp;layering, hat and lunch. Heavy rain cancels.</p><p class="p1">RSVP is 
 required to join the hike. No drop-ins please and&nbsp;space is limited due
