DESCRIPTION:<p><strong>Cancelled due to rain forecast. 4/10/2026</strong></p><p class="
 p1">Enjoy the trails and the spectacular views of Calero County&nbsp;Park. 
 Join our leader Tom Lee as we hike through mixed&nbsp;serpentine soil and e
 njoy different plant communities. The&nbsp;trail starts with some climbing 
 in grasslands and loops&nbsp;around chaparral before returning along a cree
 k.</p><p class="p1">This hike will be about 3.6 miles long with an elevatio
 n&nbsp;gain of 580 feet. At this season in past years, we have seen&nbsp;bu
 ttercups, lupines, fiddlenecks, iris and red-winged&nbsp;blackbirds.</p><p 
 class="p1"><b>We’ll meet at 10:00am</b> at the main gate of Calero Park at&
 nbsp;23205 McKean Road. Please bring sturdy shoes,&nbsp;appropriate layerin
 g, hat and lunch. Heavy rain cancels.</p><p class="p1">RSVP is required to
