DESCRIPTION:If you’ve wanted to learn how to maintain native plants, this talk is for y
 ou! Come get inspired and learn how to do it yourself. The talk will includ
 e pruning guidelines for native plants, information on the time of year to 
 prune, strategies for weed control, an overview of basic irrigation schedul
 ing and a few favorite tools used in maintenance.\nThis is the third talk i
 n a three-part series. The previous two talks are available on the Chapter’
 s YouTube channel. The first was in March and covered design basics and the
  second was in May and covered installation basics.\nStephanie Morris has b
 een designing California native plant gardens since 1999 in the Bay Area. H
 er goal is to design creative, beautiful landscapes that are ecologically o
 riented and practical. Areas of particular focus include suggesting plants 
 for pollinators, converting lawns to drought tolerant plants, incorporating
  California native plants within existing gardens and combining edible plan
 ts with native plant gardens.\n
