 nstrate how to make a seasonal&nbsp;dried flower wreath using sustainable m
 aterials, with a&nbsp;focus on native California plants. She’ll share techn
 iques&nbsp;for drying flowers and creating the wreath, demonstrate&nbsp;how
  to start and finish your creation and identify some&nbsp;useful garden flo
 wers you can start in the ground now to&nbsp;enjoy next year. These dried a
 rrangements are made to be&nbsp;enjoyed for years or can be composted in th
 eir entirety&nbsp;when the season is over.</p><p class="p1">Please note tha
 t Jill will only demonstrate how to make a&nbsp;California native plant wre
 ath; there will be no audience&nbsp;participation.</p><p class="p1"><b>Jill
  Sowards</b> is a gardener and owner of Violetear Studio.&nbsp;She teaches 
 classes and workshops on a range of gardening&nbsp;and design topics throug
 hout the Bay Area and online. No&nbsp;matter the subject, her foundation is
  always on ecological&nbsp;gardening, waterwise practices and how to incorp
 orate&nbsp;native plants. Originally trained as a public interest lawyer,&n
 bsp;Jill believes that all people can benefit from building a&nbsp;nurturin
 g connection with the joy of the garden.</p>
